Sensor Issues

Hey guys, im new to the forum, im from Calgary, Alberta. Just had some questions, maybe u guys could gimme some advice/support. I'm an apprentice HD Mechanic and im looking for another Nissan. I currently have a 88' 200sx w/ 2.0L 5sp.

I was looking today at a '87 Pulsar, with the 1.8L 5sp and she said their was issues, where she would start the vehical and it would run for between 3-5 minutes and would then shut itself off. When I did this, it did as she said, and the "sensor" light came on in the driver information center. I think that it might either be the o2 sensor, temp sensor or the throttle position sensor. Does anyone else have opinions or adivce on this topic, before I make a final decision on this purchase?

might also be ignition related problems ... those coil pack and igniter are known well for breakage... id check the ecu codes with a haynes or an FSM...
