E16S rocker cover ventilation lines

On a post I had made previously I stated I had recieved my car as a gift some time ago but never spent any time driving it.

Well, in an attempt to isolate issues it's had (leaks mainly and issues with fuel/air mixture) it seems that whoever had the car before me had both ventilation lines connected to each other making them useless. One I know connects to the air cleaner, while the other...I'm not so sure about. I've found two hoses cut and plugged on the engine. One is a vacuum line with quite a bit of suction (leads to just under the carb), and the other with no apparent suction leading to the top of the carb. Any ideas as to if one of 'em connects to the second line? If you guys like I can get a picture of the engine.

They're both positive pressure lines for crankcase ventilation. One gets recirculated to the air cleaner, filtered, and run back through the motor. I forget where the other one goes (its been a while), but it's not used for vacuum. For simplicity's sake, I would reccommend pluggin one and then putting a one-way check valve (standard PCV valve) on the other. It's crucial that you have ventilation or else you'll blow your valve cover seal.
