Looking for any SPEC on GA16i???

ok I am looking for anybody with any SPEC on the GA16i ENG, I would like to start my build up soon but I would like to know more about the spec's on this ENG so I know what to do to it. #1. are there any interchangable parts like Piston, intake manifold,Crankshafts, etc. #2. has anyone ever put a Supercharger on a GA16i and if so can I get some info on it. I think I have most of the info I need. my project goal is to make a SOHC MPFI Supercharged ENG or a every fast N/A ENG. if anyone has any suggestions on what I should do it would be appreciated. Thanx for all the info guys.

You can use the crankshaft from any GA series Nissan engine on the GA16i. As for the intake manifold, simply put, no, from the Nissan factory at least. You might find an aftermarket manifold left over from when the B12 was used as racing vehicles (late '80s, early '90s). Pretty much, there is not a lot of goodies for the GA16i in general. I would suggest you get forged pistons, since I do not know of any aftermarket pistons available either. I tried to build up my GA16i, but ended up buying a GA16DE and swapping it in my B12.

the GA16i is the step child of nissan engines it only ran for 2 years and was in a under aprieciated car and most just go up to the DE it is fairly easy if you are good with wiring. you can always make things for it if you want.

Do not get me wrong, the GA16i is still a great engine, there is just not much out there for it. I have often wondered what would happen if I converted my GA16i into a MPFI engine using a GA16DE intake manifold and cutting the intake ports to fit fuel injectors, or even building my own custom manifold. I imagine a good intake and exhaust, as well as better pistons and camshaft would make the engine very responsive for its size.

see that's what I was thinking for doing is making it a MPFI. because I know that the honda SOHC MPFI engine can make alot of powre at the wheels. and I think it would be so cool to have a SOHC N/A engine that could beat other cars. I would like to do a swap but I just don't have the room right now.this might be a long shot but do you guy know if honda parts will fit or any other car part????
