Its harder to do than a manual. It also elimates the shift lock(clutch kick) technique. A friend was drifting in an auto JZA70 Supra and he kept on saying howmuch of a bitch it was to do.

he usually just kept pulling the e-brake or used the cars momentum to go into a drift but he did try that a couple runs when I was in the car w/ him. He got rid of the car once he found a '87 gt-s. He said the supras tranny was getting worn out when he sold it

Well, you can just enter the turn around the middle I'm guessing and just turn sharp and give it shit loads of throttle. I mean I'll slide my dad's silvarado 4x4 in wet walmart parking lots all the time and its automatic, lol. I'm sure some throttle control will be involved as well as a nice countersteer. It can be done but the droping the clutch theory is gone if needed. Neutral rev to drive = Neutral bomb and is bad idea!

I have done this in my dad's truck once to see the effect. Put the Tranny in 1st gear. Put the 4WD system in neutral, reved the motor and just slammed it into 4wd low, lol. It was somewhat like a ghetoo GSX take off, ahaha. :dumbass:

i have an auto in my 240 , but i ca still drift it... its not that hard as long as you have enough low end torque anyways. I jusy put it in 2 and drive, the easiest thing to do is power over just kinda gas it and slightly pull the e-brake. anyways that is how i do it. anyways you should just go try it, thats all you really can do is try it and see what works.

hehe, that's not fair though... your RWD... it's a tiny bit easier with a RW than FW. Hey, auto's can drift pretty good, well... I did it in my dads C3 vette. But, I guess there's more power to work with in it instead of my dinky little 1.6 L 4 banger, LOL. I have drifted in my b14 auto... except the roads were wet
