Pads & Rotors setup for DRIFTING ?????

I just got a 93 240 and my brake pads are getting worn out and im looking to upgrade the brakes to something that stops better and will be able to handle drifting from time to time.
What should i go with? Any recomendations? Slotted rotors or not????? Brands and types of pads???

Thank You!

there arent any special designated "drifter" brake pads, but it seems that a popular wat to go about brake upgrades is findin some z32 ones since it;ll be relatively reasonable price

Any performance pads should suit your daily driven/drifting needs. With drifting...your not really on the brakes anyways. Its not like your road racing where you need it the most.

I peferred slotted rotors due to that there is more surface area for you pad to be in contact with.

Hawks brake pads Im currently using the Hawk HP. Blue or the HP should do fine!

Personally...I have no hand-on experience with so called "driftpads". I never heard of any company here in the states nor Japan that carries drift only pads. If you have a chance. Look at the some PRO drifting cars. Some of them are riding with stock caliper and rotors. Cause you dont really need brakes in drifting! Your foot is mostly on the throttle.

I would suggest any peformance brake pads on the market which is in your budget.

you are a fool. dont teach something that you cant do. you use the brakes quite often in drifting. most techniques used to drift use the brakes, or the e-brake. brakes are used to slow down for the next drift, to initiate a drift, to hold a drift, etc... the parking brake is used just as much, if not more. the parking brake still uses the brakes and rotors, but only the rear. fool.

drift-specific brake pads differ in that they require more heat to get them to bite their hardest, but they bite damn hard once they are heated properly. they really arent for street use for the same reason - you dont on the brakes hard enough to heat them to optimal temperature so they dont work as well as they should.

I dug up an dec 03' issue of modified mag. In this issue they put powerslot rotors and hawk pads on an 240.

Would anyone here by any chance have tried these brands, i was thinking of using thew same Powerslot Hawk setup but i would apreciate any feedback about these companies.

Also if there are any other brands that you have tried and like throw that in there . Im just trying to get an ide af whats good and whats cheap shit.

Haha. Go talk to Won't Be Beat. He's sponsored by them so he'll just go on and on about how great they are and why you should buy them.

make shure you check up on your brakes constantly! I had to replace a closed/locked caliper, rotors, and pads. Also, do all the work yourself. Mechanics rip you off with their insane FLAT FEE. Lets just say it doesnt take 1.5 hours to change rotors and brakepads.
