im from australia and have an r33 skyline gts25t with an rb25det. i don't drift it though...
a lot of my friends have S13's and drift, most use the SR20DET, but i have 1 with a 180sx that has an RB25det, and the other with a Silvia using an RB20DET motor from an R32 GTS-t. The RB's have a bit less torque down low than the SR, but once the revs are up they smoke the tyres a lot more through 3rd gear.

Just 2 weeks ago we had a drift day at a small circuit, i took a lot of footage, the Blue silvia in the video is an S13 with a fairly stock RB20DET, but you will see a dark green 180SX with license plates 'enemie', has an RB25det with a Trust td06-25g turbo.

if the driver can already drift, they are not going to have any problems with the RB.
