crazy HT prices

Ok,
Most people look for flash or name when it comes to home theater speakers. Everyone looks at price.
These deals are killer:
the brand is onix. I only reccomend their reference line usually. Here is the special:

buy reference 1.5 at full price ($1795) and you get a free reference center and a free pair of reference 0.5 for surrounds.
The .5 are their new babies, the center is the matched center, and the 1.5 are the 1.0's that have a built in stand (no need to buy one). The sub is not included but can be for $150 (10" driver).

For $999 shipped you get 5 of the reference .5's but you need stands for them
Heck just buy the sub in maple and you get the reference .5's for $99.

There are so many mix and match deals at av123.com you really have to call them to find out what meets your needs.

crazy:
http://www.av123.com/specials.php

my favorite is the 4 ref 1.5 special. That's the best system they sell (yes they sell more expensive speakers, but for 90% of the uses and placements those will not be 'outdone' by those 1.5's unless you have like a dedicated room or something)

If my tastes haven't gotten more expensive I'd jump on this. Especially the dual sub deal. I wish I knew people who needed HT stuff to sell this to.
Now I have to check out all the manufacturers christmas specials.

Seth

P.S. I have a pair of reference 1.0 for sale for $600 shipped. Used for maybe a month for TV only at low volume.

Are those Onix speakers? I have yet to hear them personally but have heard good things about them. SPeaking of deals and good gear for less $$$.

You will be hard pressed to find better Pre-Pro's or amps for a better price than Outlaw Audio
http://www.outlawaudio.com/

Subs: SVS or HSU make the best sub for the $ period. because they are internet only companies will svae you $$$ galore and their customer service and return policy canot be touched!

your link should be
www.svsubwoofers.com

and I have 2 20-39 subs

The new outlaw line looks nice. Great for people who want to do separates on the cheap. If you do go for separates I reccomend the following arrangement:
get a 5 channel amp and a 2 channel amp. Don't get a 7 channel. This way you use the 2 channel for your mains and the 5 channel for your center and surrounds.
Of course you could just get 7 monoblocks

Seth

P.S. shame those places aren't having deals though, just hsu and just on piano black.
There is b-stock though.

EDIT: Link corrected above, thanks!

I will be purchasing he PB12 plus 2 if I go with a pre-made sub. I am more than likely going to build a custom IB sub setup.

As for amps, the Outlaw stuff is great for the $$$. I also am a fan of a nice strong 2 channel amp for the front mains and a separate amp for the rest of the channels. My system uses three 2 channel Bryston amps in a 6.1 configuration.

You have the setup ready for an infinite baffle? Makes for a kinda permanent solution. As long as you have good eq i guess.
What drivers were you thinkin about?

I am still building the room, I have it framed and have the ability to build in whatever I want. These are the drivers I am considering.

gotta love the titanics. and 15" too
Before I bought the svs i was considering 2 10" titanic box sub kits.
Then I was going to go with the creativesound sonosub type deal.
then I figured, screw it, I'll just get the single 12" svs.

If I do not go IB (EQ and tuning reasons only) then I will go SVS for sure. You got a great setup there man! Did you make your own panels or were those purchased. I can't wait to build my panels for the room!

Seth

I did this to see how aesthetics-be-damned would look:
