You sign up for it...there really isn't an 'invite' per se that you can sign up for. I've opted for mfgr information from regular car shows like at the Texas Fair...that's where I think I got some invites.

Otherwise, you just have to keep your ears open and check different car forums to see if there are any events coming up. I will post every event that I know about here in the deals section but I'm sure there might be some I miss.

Damn this thread fooled me. I was OT and just saw FREE: Lexus in the deals forum. I thought someone was giving away a free Lexus. That would be the only reason I got one, if someone gave it to me for free.

I don't see what's so exciting about driving a Lexus. They're just big and boring old people cars. What's so exciting about that?

Still, if I had nothing better to do I might check it out just if they had an IS there.

Do you have to be invited or can you just go with someone who had an invite? Was your co-worker allowed to take anyone BII or is it just for the person who gets the invite? Sounds like just another bunch of Lexus snobs getting together and keeping everyone else out.

You'd be surprised what these "old people cars" can do. they dont call it the "Taste of lexus : Performance Edition" for nothing. You can go w/ somone that had an invite. I brought my Fiance and they even let her drive an IS even though shes not yet 21. It was damn fun.

I fail to see how its a bunch of lexus snobs getting together and keeping everyone else out. This was a FREE event! I am a 21 year old dude driving a sentra. They welcomed me like they would have if i had rolled up in a Carerra. Granted, i am not exactly their target market, but i think you're gettin a little too ambitious w/ your comments.

He can take anyone he wants, and I'm sure he wants to take his girl over me.

And its not snobby at all (although sounds pretty posh though), I used to work for a company that owned a Lexus dealership and it is a classy company. Its like Norstroms or Sratbucks, they give you the royal treatment (in general) because that is who they are.

Plus, thecolonelcm went and had a positive experience. Maybe he's not the target demographic, but hey, should he be in the market someday for a car, he might remember this event and look at a certified pre-pwn3d Lexus.

These events are to reinforce brand images, not create them.

I think I'll ask a lady to come with me.
