Body Work

Hey,

Any of yall any good at fixing body crap. People round here are charging way to much for a crease in a door, and a small dent in the rear quarter panel.....like 400x to much.

Macco quoted $1700, Gilbert quoted $1100, and theres no fuckin way it can be that much seeing as all that needs to be done is a lil bit of welding, and some bondoing. Unfortunately i stink at doing it.

Any help is appreciated, and id be willing to do custom fiberglass boxes for whoever could help me? Either that, or advice to a cheaper body shop lol?

if you want quality then go gilbert if you dont want to pay the price then iono.

remember u get what u pay for and gilberts work etc ive heard is one of few places that does superb work.

Yea, theres no doubt that Gilbert does amazing work. He even showed me everything he was gonna do and such. I just dont understand how it could be so expensive tho.

Should macco be less than gilbert than? Lol

I guess to Gilbert we shall go, he said if I chose him to do the work, hell shave my trunk and paint my mirrors at the same time for $50 extra, so thats a pretty good deal....stupid old people that dont understand the term protected left

Gilbert has done my cars for over 20 years and he has told me that the cost of paint has really gone up...while the quality has gone down. (ozone layer and all that).
So, to answer your question the cost of meterials has gone up and he has to shoot alot more paint then he did in the past.
At least tha's what I understand.
