Question what does this code mean "fuel level sen slosh"

my service engine light came on last weekend and I finally got the lights to blink and I got 0460 I looked it up and it says "fuel level sen slosh". Any ideas what this means in laymens terms? My gas measurements seem fine. Maybe my car doesn't like the gas prices either?

Here, this one makes more sense. Here's a link to trouble codes.

P0460 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Malfunction

I'm kind of fuzzy on technical aspects of this, but it sounds like the fuel sensor may be dirty and it's giving off the code. Maybe it just needs a new fuel filter? I feel dumb when it comes to this stuff. Either way, you'll have to take it in under warranty, or wait until that tank of gas runs out and try gas from somewhere else...

well i got the light to turn off. I don't want to take it in because I think it might reveal or lead to them finding something uhhh I'm not suppose to do. I did some more thinking and it all makes more sence now, but basically the fuel sensor was reading the gas level changes and some other reading was missing so it tricked the sensor. once i set it back to normal and reset the trouble code stuff on the ecu it has stayed off.

what do you have on the car that is that big of a deal to void the warranty. unless you have a turbo, there ain't anything you can do that would cause ANY major problems, AND they can only decline to do work IF the mod has a DIRECT affect and IS THE CAUSE of the problem. Federal Law.

It's not a added mod it was something I accidently disconnected but they might think it was on purpose if they are clever enough to link the two (dealer). The code and what made it trip on the other end(illegal). It wasn't with the fuel at all it was because different sensors send codes to the ecu as we all know but when the one i had disconneceted was dis..... then this made the fuel sensor say "this can't be right" because the two work in harmony, so I tricked the sensor or light.

Glad you got it figured out. I read up some on OBD-2 technology. It's really interesting stuff. Now I understand more about how trouble codes get triggered. I just hope I never run into any...
