Cone Air Filter Needed?
Remember this email address...
bryan@berktechnology.com
Bryan was able to send me a K&N clone (S&B Cone Air Filter) for $35 shipped to my door. The product is EXACTLY the same thing as K&N without the extra surcharge for the 'K&N' name. All he needs is the inlet size and the size of the filter that you're needing. He sends it out the next day via USPS and you'll have it within 4-5 days. I
highly recommend checking out one of their filters. I can show you mine if you like...the quality is VERY good and it is rechargeable just like the K&N.
Just passing on the good word.
-Jeff

S&B is actually a pretty reputable name. They do the filters for Roush products.

That's just the reference that Bryan gave me...since the non-domestic enthusiasts probably had never heard of S&B.
I will definitely vouch for the quality though.

^^ Pantyhose?
lmao, I knew this dumbass with a Kia in Montana a couple years ago. He used a pantyhose over the MAF and secured it with a clamp. Too damn funny.

One side of my current filter rubs up against some piece in the engine bay. It looks like a support strut of some sort (we'll call it a "johnson rod")

Seriously though, what kind of rubbing? That is weird you're having an issue. How big is your filter now? Length and width?

What part of the filter hits? The lowest part? Is the bar that it is hitting at the bottom of the engine bay? You really need to post pics. A 10" long air filter seems excessive if you ask me.
