timing advance = always have to run 93 octane. (directed at Kevin who uses 89)

I am new to the board. Joined cause of this thread.
I am also interested on getting the timing advance. I have tried at Don Davis in Arlington and also Jerry's in Weatherford. No luck.

Is that you Tek? BTW, found a muffler shop to get the bung welded. HS goes in nxt wknd.

Well, it sure would be nice to get access to one... Thats typically the first thing I did to my older carburated Ford, and FI CRX (pulley). But now in the age computer control...

How can 93 octane really be a waste of money?
89 = $1.65-1.75/gallon
93 = $1.80-1.95/gallon
100 gallons @ 89 = 175
100 gallons @ 93 = 195
For me, that's like $20 every 4-5 months. So maybe $60/yr. Most people spend that much because of leaky faucets every year.
