my friend decided to back into his basketball goal today with his '97 Pathfinder and messed up the passenger side rear quarter.
Would courtesy be the place to go to get those parts to replace or would the junkyard be better? also could maybe appreciate some help with installation too.

courtesy will sell you the panel and give you a discount on the part, but he will have to take care of painting it... if you can find one in a junkyard, that would be the best way to go, but that's if you can find the right color in good condition

um... the part courtesy will sell you will be a dull primered black.. so it won't really match at all... unless he could care less
www.car-parts.com is a online site for a bunch of junkyards... their dallas one is Mazda-Nissan Heaven. forgot where they are located, but you can call them

have them pull it, make it smooth, and paint (blend in the sides)
you don't want to get another rear quarter panel for the suv.
its not like a front fender which you can just unbolt.
its all one piece all the way up to the roof. to replace that, you would have to cut off the current fender, and weld up the replacement. then repaint. much more expensive
