So I see a lot of you are signed up for the Dyno Day on Saturday... HP #s are great and all, but it doesn't mean shit if you can't actually use that power effectively Y'all need to come out to TMS on Sunday, to show what you + all that fancy schmancy HP can do

I'm definitely participating in this Sunday's AutoX at Texas Motor Speedway. This event is being held by Texas SCCA, but you do not need to be a member or anything.

If it's your first time, or if you just have some questions, post up here or PM me. I'm no expert, but I'm more than willing to help out as much as I can for the s

The TMS site is a large parking lot that has a smooth asphalt surface. Courses lap times on this site average between 50 and 90 seconds. Most events have 4 runs per driver.

Yup, they tore me a new one.... Cars like Cobb's "Cone Basher" (a WRX w/ some estimated $60K of mods or something) also run in my class.... they eat me alive.

I'm going to try TSM for he next race, since I don't have slicks and all really hard-core people do.

Helmet is required for all SCCA events.

Must have a helmet, and they have plenty of loaners for you to use. If you're not a member of the SCCA, then you pay $25 for the day.

FS is a cool class. Unfortunately most of the cars left last year (myself included). The only cars I have seen in FS this year are a Pontiac Formula and big Lincoln.

I will be there Sunday in the SM 1 Trans Am.
The last event that "Conebasher" was at, he beat me by .169 secponds

They have loaner helmets. Get there early, like 7:30am, so you can walk the course several times and ask a LOT of questions.

CliffJumper - The PAX for SM is so brutal, that running the "T" class will be about as bad as SM. Might as well buy a set of wheels and Victoracers and play with the big dogs.

Hey, I'll be there. Gettin my butt kicked in DSP. I would run in STX, but those STINKIN WRXs own that and D stock. SM, as you know, is even more hostile.

I'll keep an eye out for your ride.
