Well amigo, you and I are special cases. We are the unlucky few that have 95/96's and don't have any easy way to clear our tails. I happened to stumble across a set of all clears and yes I painted the bottom half red. With those tails apart, we decided to go ahead and do the "Dallas Tail Mod" on mine as well. It took a little time and some learning because they also screwed us on the way they designed the tail assemblies, so ours are a bit harder to do, but definitly do able.

If you can find some all clears, we'll do your tails too!

Chris

I am loving my tails...My car is parked right out my window right now actually.

It looked very easy to do...Darrick and Chris just took control of everything, like pros. I did have proof that I worked a little...to anyone that is going to do theirs - "watch out for the black glue-type stuff"!!! lol

But yeah, thank you both for helping me out on the install. It really does look great. I'll get some more pics later today for everyone to see and post them tomorrow.

ThankyouThankyouThankyou!

ok, 97-99 maximas have a yellow piece of plastic inside the housing for the turn signals and a clear one for the reverse. We open the tails, take those out, then paint the inner housing black to give it a "smoked" look, but they look badass in person.

as far as the 95/96 maximas go (blue one in the pic is a 95 - MINE ) you have to be the luckiest mofo on the planet and find a set of all clears, open the housing, paint the inside of the plastic red and then paint the turn signal housing black like the 97-99s. Again, looks good!

Chris
