new door idea

ok,
So I was at the car show where they had the ficticious cars that open up like transformers to show you the interiors and how the seats fold into the floors of the vans, etc. And I was wondering if this can be done to a sedan:

Weld the doors to the B pillar both front and rear. Cut the B Pillar off from the car where it meets the roof and meets the sill. Now remove the hinge for the front door, and the rear door handle. Keep the drivers door handle and the latch for the rear door. Now put a hinge where the B pillar used to meet the car so that the door swings up. Better to not put a hinge but put an articulating mount so that the door goes vertically up and out. That way when you open the door it opens to the entire interior. because the B-pillar is retained the crash impact and stability is the same. Since the door is welded it's stronger anyway.

Looks like it has gotten a bit too complicated. However an idea is an idea. Sounds pretty creative to me.
