Im installing my indiglo gauges in my 97 maxima and the step im stuck at is :

8. Connect the wires to the headlight power supply (red wire for positive electrode: black wire for negative electrode)

where exactly is the headlight power supply i dont see it behind the instrument panel. I see wire cluster with about 10 wires bunched together but i dont see a red and black wire for the headlights. Also if i cannot get to them is there anything else i can tap into such as the crusie control switch, which colors would corrospond to the power and ground wires of the gauges. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I have a 200sx so im not sure if its the same as a Max. But on the back of the instrument panel its all green paper crap and it has .like metal stuff running on it. Reminds me of like a cumputer board or something... But anyway... Look at the wire clusters, find the corresponding gold strip and fits them. If the cluster has like 10. then where will be 10 gold strips coming out of the plug in. Read the labels for all of the little gold things. The one that is like "gauge cluster light" power or somthing is the live power wire that will turn on when you turn your headlights on. For a ground you can do the same thing... or just ground it on body..
