Once again, my attempts at 'doing it myself' have gone terribly awry. I reciently purchased Euro Glow Guages for my 2002 SE-R. Got everything apart, and disconnected the guages. My friend needed to get home, so with the guages disconnected, I drive my car. Then the trouble.. Guess I wasn't suppost to do that, because everytime it went to shift, it jerked, like there was lack of gas. Scared the crap outta me, I reconnected it, and the jerking stopped. But now the annoying 'check engine' light is on. Anyone know why it would do that (jerk), and how I get the check engine light off? I hope I didn't screw anything up.. Also would anyone actually have directions on how to correctly install the euro guages? Its the one with a transformer, with a negative and positive cable going to a dimmer switch with an on/off button. thanks

Is it me, or can NOONE find directions to install this awful thing?
The recommendation is that you connect them directly to the dimmer switch. Other than that, I hope you were able to install them without taking the needles out. Taking the needles out is pretty delicate.
As far as the jerking and the CEL, I have a feeling the 2 problems aren't directly related, maybe a coincidece or maybe you accidently disconnected something in the process. I would run the codes and see what made the CEL go on.

Yea, I wound up taking the needles off, and then fixing them.. took a lot of calabration and test runs and b.s.. that coul dhave been avoided if I hadn't taken the needles off. But, I got the rpms to read correct mph and gas.. <shrug> thanks for the help
