problems

I have a 1988 pulsar with a CA18DE engine and a five speed.
Sometimes it runs ok then other times it hard starting and wont idle backfires ect. seem like it running on three cyl. this is happening daily. Does anyone have any guesses?

try running a computer self diagnosis.... its probably the first thing to do.... next check all sensors plugued correctly...also all wirez getting to injection... check if you have your ignition corectly setup... (if you have juice on every wire getting to the sparks...)

probably someone else could get better furthur on this ... but for sure its a fuel/air mix prob or an antipollution or ignition related...
