Hey guys, i was looking at my sentra today doing some before work spot checks and noticed something on the front. ALl those that install new grilles, do you guys just put them on, or do you change the lights as well? The reason i ask is that the lights in my (99) sentra kind of go with the old pattern of the grille. What i mean is that in the lights there is a little like "indentation" Where it is raised with the grille as well. If this isn't clear, im going to try to post a pic of what i mean later as well
I know that's a matter of personal preference, but does it look retarded to have a grille with the factory lights and that indent they have that matches the old grille, or does the aftermarket grille compensate somehow for that? If anyone can send me a pic of their car with just the new grille it would be great
That's from the thread you mention G_Funk, but in this case it's aftermarket lights with factory grille. I just need to know because If i were to save up money for the grille and the lights to be purchased at once it would take me a LONG time, so for now I want to take it a step at a time.
Yeah it looks pretty goofy with any other grill and the factory 99 headlamps. The curves don't flow quite right. If you can find a grill cheap enough though you may try and customize it to flow right. I've tried a couple grills and am going to customize one or keep stock. Pablo
Here is a close-up pic of what you are talking about. I would say to get new lights with a new grille. It looks really wired with the two holes next to the grille.
