trunk light

i want to clear out the upper light on the trunk. if not i want to paint it to get rid of the red. did any of you do it?

if u wanna clear it, talk to justin(1997Ga16de) he did it, and he might have that piece still layin around.......if not, most people just shave it off

I would shave it, I did the clear for awhile but it wasn't exactly the best looking thing ever. It looked cheap and evantually it started to yellow. I pulled it off (broke it n half in the process, and I decided to paint the red one white (don't know what I was thinking) and put it back on. The white turned out crappy, and I ended up messing up the car paint around the light. IMO, it's not worth it. Either leave it red or shave it.

it all depends on whether u have money to spend on this mod and time/patience, a mod like that around here would charge me like 40-60$ to shave(not including paint) so then paint would be tuff since they might have to repaint the whole trunk(depending on trunk paint condition) because if they paint that lil spot, it might not match etc. and as far as time goes, it should take the shop a couple of days(depending on if theyre lazy or have time or their experience) expect the shop to take about 2-3 days for a mod like that

i was wondering. many of my friends cars, when you open the trunk, there is a little trunk light inside the trunk that will be turned on automatically in case you open your trunk in the dark etc....mine dont have it, do all b14's dont have it or its just mine? just a question (yes or no) thanx

yes, all b14's have it, in fact, all the cars(old and new) that i've seen has them.......maybe the previous owner took it out??or maybe your bulb is burned out and u cant find it.....it uses a 194 bulb, i changed mine to blue, doesnt light up well :\

you could always splice in a neon tube and mount that to the trunk ceiling

under the rear deck....has a little round thing covering it. mine was knocked out when my system got stolen

nope, i asked about the trunk light INSIDE the trunk. my didnt work when i got my car. that was my Q. and i searched for it.. couldnt find anything about it.
