problem with bulbs

ok, so i've had my halos on my sentra for a while now, when i first got them "professionally" installed, everything was fine but then about a month later, the H1's went out, damn, ok so i went out and bought a second pair of the same bulbs......boom about 2 months later they went out again.....so i decided to try something new and got the nokya H1 and H3.......worked fine for about a month and then.....again my H1's went out........usually its the passenger side H1 that goes out first......any ideas on what i should do or if i should get higher wattage bulbs???

Are the bulbs getting in contact with anything as you're putting them in? Cause oils from the fingers and other debris can deteriorate the bulbs life.

Yeah, if you're touching the bulbs at all, they'll fry in a hurry. Also, you might want to try Sylvania bulbs - I've had mine in for something like 2 years and they're still good as new. Just don't go over the stock wattage - you'll zap your harness in a hurry.

Hmm,
I thought the halos were H3's only. At least I know thats the case with the 'low beam' side.

try not touching the glass at all, even with gloves. Might also want to take a voltage meter and make sure there is good power and no power surges.

I believe the H1's are the low beam and the H3s are the high.

Yeah, those Nokya bulbs suck @$$ but the Sylvania Silverstars kicks. Bright white with no hint of yellow and maybe a very slight hint of blue.

What is the best brand for a 9004 bulb, i want something that has a noticeable blue tint but not too much, is the sylvania superstars the best for that, or is Koba or any other brand (if you ever heard of it) better. They say koba is piaa rated.

there's a service recall for any 1995 to 1998 200sx's the light bulb socket wiring on the back of the connector will begin to melt it is more likely to happen on the passenger side because of the heat from the coolant reservior. nissan has replacement socket's with thicker wire's
