Anyone ever tried to.........

Anyone ever try to take an OEM bumper and create a custom homemade styled, body kit type out of it???

If I have time and the ability is it worth it?? Any pics if anyone was successful?

You could make a mold out of fiberglass or something and work with that. Also, you could take a giant block of styrofoam, shape it, cut it to fit, and make a mold with that.

My friends dad used to make FIberglass Kit cars of old ford cobras, he said that you make a fibreglass copy of the existing part, then you use molding clay to make the changes to the panel IE...extend it, make an agressive body kit etc...
Then once the clay cures you make another mold of that one and then once you've got that you can even mass produce them. Its alot of work even if you know how to do it but it saves alot of money and is great if you have a car that no one makes any bodykits for. We were going to do this with my '93 Saturn SC2 but never got around to it.

When a grisly killing spree in Vancouver left 15 women dead, PETA tried to purchase full-page ads in local papers suggesting that this carnage was no worse than the killing of animals for food.
