OEM wheel cleaning

I just aquired a set of OEM wheels and need advice on cleaning and polishing them. I think they are painted, so I figured just a good bath and some car wax. yes/no?

Yup give em a good wash then follow up with a coat of wax, you'll be good to go. I try to wax my wheels at least once a month, it helps prevent brake dust and road tar from bonding on the wheels.

frequently washing them with a mild soap and water solution. waxing will also protect the wheel's finish from rusts, tar staining and other elements..
