Orbital Buffer Question

I've searched the threads looking for information on orbital buffers, and so far everyone agrees the PC7424 is the best option for the DIY'er. After reading several reviews on this machine, I have come to the conclusion that you can use this buffer to apply wax and various cleaners, but it does not polish very well (i.e. it is best to use a terry cloth and wipe it yourself). If that is the case, is there a cheaper buffer out there that will speed-up the process of applying cleaners and waxes while still maintaining the quality work that the PC7427 provides?

Thanks
JJ
