I'll take the pepsi challenge with the clay magic over ANY cleaner wax any day of th week. Honestly clay magic is EASY to use, I can do my whole car in les than an hour and it honestly is less work than using a multi-step process...
Clay Magic is VERY safe and user firendly I recommend if you have not used it to try it. I have thrown out the Megiuars clay bar and I drop kicked the Mothers clay bar before I tried Clay Magic...
Ok guys, I took the Mothers clay, Meguiars polish and wax back to Auto Zone. I think my plan is to buy a orbital buffer and the Medallion Meguiars cleaner and wax. After feeling my paint, I don't think I need to clay, although I have noticed some swirl marks and a few places that need to be thoroughly buffed. Will the cleaner and wax take care of this?
If I clean then wax the paint and notice more defects or rough spots, I may try the clay magic. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for all the input,

i belive the clay bar's accualy remove the wax.......so if you clay bar after you wax then you need to wax again, you just waisted time and money. i would just clay it first and start freash.
The only clay my local Auto Zone had was Mothers. When I returned it, the salesman asked me why and I said, "I heard it sucked!" He was so offended he began to justify the reason they chose to carry it and how many people buy it. It was really a sad situation. But any way, all this is to say, my local Auto ZOne doesn't carry clay magic. Go figure!
I ordered the Meguiars Medallion paint cleaner and paint protector along w/ the Clay magic from Autopia.com. Anything else I need?
Well, I finally broke down and bought a PC7424 and Sonus DAS Polisher Kit. The whole kit was on sale for $188 delivered. So, I have the Clay Magic, Meguiars Medallion Paint cleaner, Meguiars Medallion Paint Protector and an orbital buffer. If it would just stop snowing and warm-up a' bit, I could get started. I will take pictures before and after and share the results later Thanks for all the advice and recommendations.
did you buy a RANDOM orbital? or the polishers that look like an angle grinder? cuz thats not we are talking about and you can mess up your paint!!! we'r talking the cheapy ones that vibrate and spin......like when your hoola hooping (you spin and the hoop spins anround you)
i use those at werk to apply wax... how much did it cost you? those arent the best at buffing, but you wont kill your car with it, very user friendly.. just keep your speed below 4-5...

Guess I'm old school... I always wax by hand... maybe because I hate swirl marks... Hell I've taken 2 or 3 car washes over a couple days to wax, condition...etc.. my car in the past... will Litterally spend an hour or more on each panel.. so maybe only one side will get done the first day..
Maybe I should give the rotary another chance? ::shrug::
