Yeah I had one way back before I bought my Nissan. I might pick one up since I go a couple of weeks in between car washes. Damn I'm so lazy now, I used to was my car every weekend I am now going on 5 weeks without washing it

Is it because of the accidents you've had? Did you ever get it fixed?

And now back on subject...the duster is great especially if your car is waxed.

Yeah I haven't got it fixed yet from the last accident. I'm waiting til after the holidays to drop it off at the body shop. Also it was raining out here two weeks ago, and the daylight savings time pwnz me. When I get off work @ 5pm its already dark and I lose the motivation to wash it.....Excuses, excuses

From the California Car Duster website:

"Because of a special permanently baked in paraffin treatment, The Original California Dusters are made to provide years of effective service without the need for cleaning. Simply shake them out before and after each use. The "dirtier" they get the better they work.

If you find it necessary to clean your Duster because it is too dirty or if the Duster stops lifting dust, it can be washed. You may hand wash your Duster in cold water with a mild detergent such as Woolite, then air dry. Do not use hot water to wash or hot air to dry, as heat or harsh detergent may remove the special paraffin treatment."

Doesn't sound like you ruined it, unless you threw it in the dryer

I think I would rather my car be dusty than to rub the dirt around...

Yeah, you dont use it when your car is actually dirty, just dusty. It picks up the dust pretty well. But actual dirt or mud would be messy.....
