cleaning wheels

i just wanted to let evryone know....armor all makes a rediculous product that cleans wheels easily as crap...just wet em', spray the armor all crap on, and then spray it off with water and it gets 97 % of brake dust dirt and n e thing else....that 3% is easily gotten off with a rag......

hmmmmmmmm sounds cool any names or pics? but i dont use anything on my se-r wheels other than dish soap my 14in. got so messed up and the paint started to spider web and just look terrible. i think if anything is strong enuff to get dirt off with out scrubing it alittle its far to strong for paint. would you use it on the body of your car? just wash em the best you can then wax them. and everytime you wax your car wax your wheels because chances are they are painted

Including the clearcoat on your wheels.

Griot's Garage wheel cleaner is the only way to go. Expensive, but if it's approved by BBS, it's good enough for me.

Thumbs up

i usually use Eagle One's mag and aluminum cleaner. i washed my car last weekend and found out that my brother misplaced the mag cleaner.
so i used the next best thing, Orange Blast (multipurpose cleaner with the scent of orange... Oooo... :dumbass:
hey! it works for me! i just sprayed it on and with some elbow grease, my old tooth brush, and a garden hose... violla! clean.

I tried everything on my wheels and the brake dust still doesnt come off . I tried simple green, armor all, eagle, orange blast and etc. Ive spent like $50 on wheel cleaner pruducts already and its still there. Its a pain to get it off. Someone on the forum told me to use gliptone but i couldnt find it anywhere. I might jus get them painted at maaco or something.
