Question Headlight cover

Recently I applied Prolong Engine Treatment, Transmission Treatment, and Fuel treatment to my 04 Sentra 1.8S. Somehow I accidentally spilled a little of the Trans treatment on my headlight cover, I wiped if off as best I could, wasn't at home so couldn't wash it off. Anyway, a couple days later, I noticed my headlight cover has a lot of cracks where the Prolong had ran, any way to fill in the cracks? Nissan said a new headlight assembly would be $200 but I don't want to spend that much. I'd appreciate any help I can get on this. Thanks.

post in the WTB forum that you need one, I doubt anyone will be parting out an 04 but you may get lucky. Also maybe go with projectors or crystal clears if they are out for the 04, not really checked into it cuz I have a b14

Those are not cracks, that's crazing. Crazing is when polycarbonate and other amorphous plastics become saturated with a solvent and begin to lose their plasticity. It creates lines in the plastic with microscopic fibrils of material bridging the lines. The crazing will continue to worsen until the light is ruined.

Car manufacturers know about this and should replace the headlight under warranty, although it might be wise to not mention you spilling engine treatment on the light.

How different are the lights for an 03 compared to an 04? I saw several on Ebay today for the 03. (A pair of euro clears for $100). Only saw one set for the 04 but that was around $250
