bug and tar remover

does this really work and if so what brand is the best? Country roads at night suck major ass for the Front End and the fact that they're hardly ever used gets all kinds of gunk on the sides of your car, expecially around the tires. GRRRR. anyways what works best because just a simple wash and scrub doesn't cut it.

I have "1 lifter Bug & Tar Remover", it works okay. It helped me to get some dried up tar off the side of my car. It dosen't work 100%, but it does a pretty decent job.

3m wax and adhesive remover works well, but its not safe to use in huge quantities... contains xylene(sp?) which has been known to cause cancer

goof off is good beacuse it isnt too harsh a formula but only ok in actual removing power. gliptone degreaser removes tar like pie...use it sparingly. it is incredibly strong.

Gasoline or diesl (however you spell it) works great. And to much disbelief to people it won't hurt your paint. It will however take off the wax (as like most other products) and you need to wash and wax it after you are done

so would putting a bit on a rang and wiping it up be the best method to do this? I can live with having to wash and wax the car again, its just so filthy down there that I really don't wanna wax that junk into my paint. Will it take off bugs AND tar or just one or the other?

mine has several chips in the front bumper/hood/front of the fenders as well. I'm fixing mine by getting a CF hood and some new baddass fiberglass fenders. So they'll have new paint. Then get the coupple of dents out of it, one will need a slight paint touch up. Also I have a place in my back bumper where someone ran into me in the parking lot and just pulled off (they pulled up a bit too close)

I was thinking about instaed of painting the front/back bumpers and getting the place on the back bumper fixed just going with a body kit. I'm not completly sure what I'm gonna do yet, thats a lot of money to be putting down all at once though, expecailly since I also have a hearder on the way...ok /rambling sorry

Their are ways to regulvinate paint without having to spend a fortune re-spraying.
