Windsheild wiper arms

my windshield wiper arms have lost all their paint and i want to take them off...is it as simple as popping off the cap, unscrewing the nut....and then prying it off somehow??

yep it's as easy as that... they'll be just a bit hard to put back on because of the spring that keeps the wiper down... but anybody can do it... ^_^

one more thing... please don't do that single wiper thing... it looks tacky in my opinion... i've only seen one VERSION of this mod where it looked good...

Almost every b14 I've seen has silver showing through on the wiper arms.

I painted mine while it was still on the vehicle for the simple fact that the paint faded only on the top so I just turned the ignition off while the wiper arm was in the up position and put newspaper behind them and taped it all off.
Then it was a case of simply sanding down the make it rough, cleaning it off and then putting a few coats of black paint and then a couple coats of clear coat in hopes that it won't fade again

pop the cap off and the nut then spray some wd40 on there let it soak in for a little and use a pry bar (small) but put a rag under it and they will pop off with some persuation and paint them but dont use a compltly flat color cuz then then u wax ur car if any gets on it it will either chalk up and there will be whight spots on the arms or it will shine it up alittle and the rest wont use satin (i use that on every thing) or at least a semi flat and use krylon its the best paint drys crazy fast

you know what i would like to see though... a single wiper conversion that uses a mercedes benz wiper... the reason being that mercedes' wipers actually extend a few more inches as they rotate to wipe... now that would be the shit... it'll seem rice to the people who don't know about the mod but i think it'd be cool...

It was easy with a gear puller...well the one in the middle....and then 3in1 oil on the driver side ones and it came right off....

my car is black...and i left the arms black...white looks tacky.....and gloss black looks better then white...plus where the nissan on the side is...that i painted white....not noticable...but it looks neat if ur up close

Mine are powdercoated black.

Works real well and looks real slick. A "finishing touch" mod.

who did your powdercoating and how much did you pay for it?

i'd imagine it costs a good chunk of change compared to spraying it yourself...
