Brake grinds wont come off

I bought some rims and it has a lot/thick brake grinds. I tried both eagle mag and wheel cleaner but didnt work. I tried orange blast wheel cleaner and it still didnt work. I tried brushing them with the wheel cleaner but didnt work. Im running out of ideas, anybody know how i can get it off?

Sometimes brake grime is hard to get off. There are the usual corrosive store brands (eagle, meguiars, etc) and then try the stuff from wheel repair places (non corrosive). Worst case buff it out with a machine and re-paint the rim.

depending on your wheels, if all else fails, you could wash it off with pressure!

i use a certain brand chemical to remove bug/tar/all that crap...ill get you the name but i would be careful of using it on clear coated wheels. and it MUST be washed off for a long, long time.

Im still tryin, im gonna go to home depo and get a plastic tub big enough for the rims. Im gonna let the rims soak with the chemicals on it. Hopefully the brake grinds will soften up and come off. I already tried turtle wax bug and tar remover but didnt work. My last option is sanding it down and repainting them but i dont want it to come to that. Thanks everyone for the ideas.

Salvo Autoparts if they have it. If it is really tough, get their professional line from the web.

Undilute simple green in a spray bottle... Don't breath it though, it gives me coughing fits. Sometimes, it takes a few applications

once they are cleaned... try waxing the wheels... yes wax.

It may sound strange, but the dust won't grab on as easily.

or better yet, buy better brake pads.
