ripped off by Matronics (Ebay)

Grrrrrrr. i was looking to buy a new radio and i got one of those sony flip down back screen ones from ebay and paid using paypal. the seller matronics never sent me replies or NEthing, and ebay emails me like a week later saying that the item was removed and his account banned for violating ebay policy. then they tell me i dont have to complete transaction...yet i already paid him...i think im screwed...

paypal does have that buyer complaint form thing. iunno what really happend with the guy maybe it was just a misunderstanding but i think i should do it anyways just in case

Unfortunately, Paypal isn't the best at returning money in these kind of situations. I would contact Ebay about it and call your credit card company and cancel payment. This is why I hate Ebay. Hope you get your cash back.

......ebay bought out PayPal at the beginning of the year, so it dont really matter who you contact :P.

sorry to hear that ya lost money though, did you get the insurance if it was offered? alot of people dont get it but hey, if its like 2 bux for a 300 dollar item, GET IT. read the 'more info' thing on the insurance, it basically says that if something happens;the deal goes bad for you, they go after them for the cash.

i talked to him, he says he's shipped it and that it was just b/c he copied the pic for the item. so iunno. if i dont recieve it then yea i'll do that complaint thing. at least it ssomething. and i can't cancel the CC. its directly from the bank account

Having the acct closed because of copyright infringement is a good excuse. I've been dealing with a few Ebay-ers stealing my photography and using it in their auctions lately, and their accts have been getting closed. Hopefully you get your stuff and he doesn't steal anyone else's photos.
