My son's friend ordered a B16a clip a few months ago. Last thing flash options told him was that U.S. customs opens the crates and if the engine does not meet federal emissions standards, customs destroys the engine. Of course that is total crap, sounds like they are trying to say he's not getting his engine and probably not getting his money back.

you are on the eastcoast, why didnt you go to heavy throttle??? I have heard TOO MANY bad things about them. I personally wouldnt throw money to somone who A)doesnt live in the US and B)can hardly speak english (not a knock on them). Some people get mint engines, then some get crap..but I have heard more crap than good. Good luck

thanx sounds like i'm gonna need it...they gave me such a good price and i jumped on it before i did any research on them....but i get mixed results ..some people love them and some people ran into trouble.....i ordered from someone else already and they mailed my money back after 5 wks waiting and said they couldnt get it...so i jumped at what seemed to me to be a reputable company...oh well guess i'll let everyone know if your interested...any more info will help...

Has anybody ever had good luck when buying from flashoptions?
I was going to go through them, but talked to a few people with horror stories about them. also wondering about racinghard.com. I just found out about them a few days ago. Good deals, but I never heard anything about them. Let me know, thanks

WHY would anyone buy from an importer halfway across the worl d just to save a few bucks. Searcha ll teh 240 forums and you will see why no one buys from them. Even if they offer dirt cheap prices...that is why. Also have you compared flashoptions website to racinghards?? They look awfully familiar to each other......I would be very careful. Supposedly they are opening a stores in the US to have representation in the US

And that isnt even touching their customer service. Too many screw ups and people waiting months for a clip. Why bother just to save money. not worth a couple hundred bucks

any info on the parts...they got a really awesome deal on an engine i want..it almost seems to good. let me kno. oh and its a RB20DET Front Clip for 1280...doesn't that seeem a little low??

dude i have heard way too many complaints about flash option i would much rather pay a little more to make sure i actually get the motor...

DONT DO IT...it sounds too good to be true because it is. you might get the engine for that price but the time you have to wait is totally unbearable. its been 3 months for me already..

Just an update. My son's friend still doesn't have his engine, it's been five months. Flash Options is now telling him they will ship to a guy in Michigan since this guy can get the engines through customs. Then the engine is supposed to be shipped to Texas.

Interestingly, one of our fellow forum members sent flash options an email and asked about an engine price. The owner of Flash Options must have thought he was someone else. Here's his reply to some comments that bad things are being spread about his company and a request to come down on the price of a GTi-R clip:
