nissan spoiler

I have a 2004 nissan sentra. Its been a little more than 1 year and i noticed that the spoiler that was installed by nissan has started to become loose. i checked the screws on the spoiler and noticed that they seem to not even screw into the spoiler. Do they use some kind of filling so make the screws stick into it?

They use clips that go into the spoiler on the sides and bolts in the middle.
First...is it an OEM spoiler? Next....your still well within warranty, why not use your warranty and take it to the dealer that installed it.

Got to love it when they act like they are doing you a favor. Unless you messed with it, it was covered under the warrenty.

Glad you got it resloved.

How many miles on the car?

Also glad you got it resolved.

Had a case like this today, which is why I wanted to respond. Dealers always want to make you think it shouldn't be covered - because a lot of the times, especially if Nissan rejects the warranty claim, they have to either Goodwill it or absorb the cost.

Had a woman today with an 03 Maxima whose wind deflectors flew off the car. She flipped out. Said it was under wrrty, etc - but the thing is, it's an accessory, not a performance related thing... and factory warranty wouldn't cover accessories - so we did it. That's prolly what they did for you!

Ah just take the spoiler off, it's not like it's doing anything for the car anyway.
