problem with header on 2001 sentra

i recently installed some headers on my 01 nissan sentra and now my car is running weird. when i get to 2500 rpms it start to idle and anything over that it goes really slow. does anyone know how to fix the problem? thanks

Do you have a Check Engine light? It is not unusual to damage the O2 sensor when installing a header. If you put anti-seize on the O2 sensor threads, make sure the stuff is labelled O2 sensor safe.

take the header off and put new OEM header gaskets on, then put the header back on.

make sure there are no leaks in the secondary either.
