Tranny Q

Does the B15 SE-R (NOT a Spec) 5 Speed share a tranny with any of it's other sibling or is it a unique tranny ran for only 2 years. I would imagine that it may be shared with the 5 speed SE and maybe even the GXE. Whether this is the case or not, where is the best place to buy a used or rebuilt tranmission?

What's up Nick? To my knowledge, that tranny shares the same platform as the 2000-2001 SE tranny, but not sure on the gearing. Might want to do some slight research on www.b15sentra.net. I will also try to see what infomation I can get too for you.

Okay, doing some research, people are saying that they aren't the same. Will get more info today for you.

Its my understanding that they are not the same. I can't say that I have spent any amount of time looking into this, but thats what I remember hearing.

you guys are good. i was too busy whroing the the contest to get back earlier. i couldnt find it here so i guess it is time for me to join b15sentra.net...i think i am going to go the route of a few upgrades in my auto, mainly being the torque converter build up and a few other goodies from IPT ( http://www.importperformancetrans.com/nissanauto.shtml ). Stemar gets them at a very discounted price and it seems like a good way to kill a second off my quarter mile time.
