So here's the story:
My new 2003 Sentra SE-R was in a collision, $7,000 worth of damage to the right front. Got it fixed with Nissan parts. Picked it up from the autobody, I noticed that the gas tank flap now had a bright orange U channel to hold the gas cap. I didn't think it was there before... figuring I would remember something hazmat colored on my car. I questioned the mechanic... he swore up and down that they didnt touch the back of the car. However, someone informed me that it was an aftermarket part. Could anyone tell me if this is true or not? pictures or info would be appreciated, I would like to confront the auto body.

That channel is supposed to be there. I have a 2004 and it's there, kinda tricky at first to get it to actually hold the gas cap however.

No, I have a 2003. The identical 2003 sentra SE-R that I looked at for comparison and info did not have the channel.
