Just wondering if anyone had a problem with their right doors vibrating after a while with their Sentras?
I know I had a lot of problems with shaking noise. I got the sport package for the 2002 models so I got the 300w system and all. I've been using it a bit, but still.
My whole back seat started shaking at once, and I went to the dealer and they fixed it on the guarantee by adding scelant between the seat and the trunk (well that's what their explanation sounded like). Anyways, when I did that, I was at 20,000km, and apparently, little sounds like that are not guaranteed anymore after 20,000km. So now I'm at 24,000km and my right door is vibrating.
I know if I push on the panel from the inside of the car, next to the seat belt, where the bottom part and the upper part of the door meets. The vibrating sound stops.
I thought about trying to open the panels and put them back in, but I'm afraid it might cause my vibrations.
Anyways, if anyone has happened to have that problem and managed to fix it by yourself, I'd appreciate the info.
At worst I'll go and pay 200$ to my dealer to get it fixed or somethig, because it is VERY annoying :\

i had the problem too because i took off the switch panel and painted it but i made it a lil loose so it vibrated. i went out and got some Dynamat(or Silencer) and slaped on the back side of it and it stopped. this stuff is basically a sheet of rubber backed with aluminum and stoppes vibrations dead. you'll have to take that panel off and stick it on the back side of it. this stiff will also add more bass to your sound system and deaden road noise.
It took exactly 50sqft to do the trunk and both front doors. I would guess that each front door took around 10-12sqft.
Then again that was to completely seal it off and put a layer on the outter skin to help keep it from vibrating. If you REALLY skimped I suppose you could get rid of the rattles with 4sqft, but don't expect any kind of drastic decrease in road noise or increase in midbass from your speakers.
