Questions about the Spec-V Radio and Parts....

Ok, I bought a Spec-V. I got convinced

(see my previous post) and now I've got a beautiful silver Spec-V (which, unfortunately has a paint chip in it already). Anyhow, I've got a few questions about some available parts.

I skipped the upgraded sound system. $560 was too much for me to spend on a system that distorted as soon as you turned the volume up. However, I am curious as to how they installed the amp and the sub and exactly what the layout of the 300 watt rockford fosgate system is. Can anybody help me out with this?

I'm also looking for a short throw shifter to help alleviate some of the clumsy gate action with the 6 speed. Does SMC's work with the 6 speed?

Does Nismo have an official company website and has anyone found a shop manual for the spec-v?

so how much all together did you pay for your car? yeah i would have done the same thing and not buy the sound system.
