I put this here because it's Spec V related.
In conjunction with the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) West/IAS show held in Los Angeles April 25-27, Nissan announced it will campaign its 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V in the Speed World Callenge Touring Car series in association with Peter Cunningham and TeamRTR. Cunningham, a six time SCCA Pro Racing champion and last year's Speed Challenge Touring Car point champion, will be switching from Acura to drive the newly built Sentra.

TeamRTR expects to field a second Nissan sponsored Sentra at the Road Atlanta race in June, and is extremely enthusiastic about the Sentra's capability and potential.
The enthusiast press has described the Speed World Challenge as the import answer to NASCAR. It represents the most highly watched form of North American road racing for production based vehicles, and is the fastest growing. This series offers the perfect venue to showcase Nissan to the Sport Compact segment, which actively follows this series, and to whom the Sentra SE-R is targeted.
Nissan's 2004 Sentra SE-R Spec V, is in both street and race trim. This racing Sentra, which started life as an already powerful street car, has evolved into a top-flight racing machine.

The 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine's output has been increased to 250+ horsepower and the stock SE-R's handling prowess has been enhanced with an array of
NISMO components. Nissan's SE-R Spec V will be easy to spot on the track with it's custom silver and black paint, and large Nissan and NISMO symbols on the hood, rear and sides. This unique paint scheme that will carry over into Nissan's other racing vehicles, such as Art Schmitt's Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) Frontiers, but more about that in a seperate announcement.
Look for the TeamRTR Sentra SE-R Spec V when it makes its racing debut at Mosport International Raceway in Ontario, Canada on May 16-17, 2003. Watch for Nissan TeamRTR Sentra(s). Full details and updates may be found at

Nissan's participation in the Speed Channel series leverages the launch of
NISMO performance components for the SE-R ( details comming in June ) and the Brembo brake option on the MY04 Sentra SE-R Spec V.
