Hold out for the 03?

I was wondering with the recalls on the 02 tranny for the spec v, should i still get the 03 or replace the tranny on the 02. I might not be able to afford the 03 because i am still in my teens and dont make a great deal of money. So, should i get the 02 with new tranny or an 03?

Thanks for the info. I just bought my spec V used a couple weeks ago... any idea how I find out what recalls have already happened and what new stuff i can get etc. I heard there was a recall on the headlights because they were fogging up or something... and my driver side one does that a little bit sometimes... so a new one would be cool.

If I were you I would try to find a 03, there is of coarse the revised tranny as well as a couple other tweaks---hunt around you should be able to come up with something fair.

yeah, im 18 and i bought my 02 spec v used because its way cheaper.... saved up for two years and now i have payments for the next.... long time... lol.... but its worth it! if you can afford a brand new spec v then get it.... the only differences are... the interior color (silver now... i prefer the red in the 02) ... better gear spacing (03) and better suspension (supposedly, 03.... but you could go aftermarket with an 02)
