Question Noob ? on CAI

Hey guys,

I am not a really big fan of Nissan but I do like the Spec-V. My friends and I have heard that the Spec-V has problems with basic breathing modifications I/H/E? My friends and I are pretty knowledgable when it comes to Honda's but not Nissan, can you guys fill me in on what you think or any major problems the Spec has with these basic bolt ons.

there are no problems with bolt ons for the spec V, and it actually responds VERY well to bolt ons. We're talking a 9whp gain on the AEM cai

wtf...never heard of blowing heads. Blowing MAF sensors is the only problem that I have heard of. Only some CAI's that I have come across do this though.

if your friends are knowledgeable about honda and not nissan, why are they saying that stuff?

I've been around the SER/Spec V since they first came out and never heard anything like that.

That is the exact reason why I am saying that because I do not have alot of knowledge on the B15 chassis. The only thing that I know is that the Spec-V has had transmission problems and some engine rings problems. So i was just asking if they have had any major problems from basic bolt ons.

Get a 2003 and all those problems, tranny and oil consumption, are gone...
