Thumbs up Thinking Of Buying a Spec-V

Ok, heres my basic questions...

1. What do you love about it?

2. What do you hate about it?

3. What Options did you get that you didnt really want, or what do you wish you would have gotten?

4. What are the common problems with them?

5. How Much did you put down on it? and what are your monthly payments?

Im not sure its in my price range cause im poor, but i really want one!

(in my case thats a 5 hour drive any direction) Also have the 100,000 mile warrenty for 3 bucks more a month(waiting for Nismo so i dont void my warrenty)
4. None on mine yet.
5. 1000 down, got 4000 on trade in(96 accorrd that was going to go into the shop for a while so just get rid of it), 1.9 APR around 250 a month

1. The spec v is pretty rare in my part of town. That is what I really love about it. You don't see one everytime you make a turn.

2. The tranny is minor problem, but it has its highs.

3. I didn't get a bunch of options. I think a disc changer was the only one.

4. From what I have seen the tranny seems to be a bit clunky on both the 02s and 03s. The 03s are the lesser of the two evils.

5. 0 down no trade 350/mos at 1.9

No ABS, No Rockford Fosgate... should have gotten ABS

4. What are the common problems with them?

2003s corrected most issues, tranny, oil burning...

5. How Much did you put down on it? and what are your monthly payments?

Go to Yahoo finance, there are calculators for this.

Im not sure its in my price range cause im poor, but i really want one!

Also, the regular SE-R was my next choice cause they were even less. Asked the dealer what the Invoice was and he handed it right over no hassle. Also talked him into another 500 on my trade in, because of the 300 dealer markup added in the invoice..(the dealer invoice was 17,799) The best car buying experiance I've ever had. Also I know the parts guys real well so I do not get messed around like alot of the people on here do. (when i move to denver that might change)

1.power, handling, looks
2.torque steer
3. I wish I had ABS, but I haven't needed it yet
4. For 2002 there were transmission and oil burning problems, but they were solved for '03s. I think you may get paint chipping, it's an econo car after all.
5. I put down 2000. I got leather and 6cd changer in mine, so it the payments were like $420 per month for 4 years. (The car was 19k).

But you can get it for much cheaper than I did. You should be able to get it for under 17k.

2. damn wheel hop, wish it had better shifter/clutch feel, needs bigger gas tank.

3. Didn't care for moonroof but thats all they had, but then again you get lighted vanity mirrors with that option so it worked out.
--------Got the in cabin filter which I don't give a damn about.
--------Trunk net I love can't live without.
--------Wish I could have afforded leather

4. Haven't had any (6300 miles)
