first i just went to check the oil....the freaking handle broke off in my hand, what the hec is that? on a 04? wow! i tried ebay with no luck, anyone point me to a good junkyard that ships out? or local, i live in salem nh 03079?
next, exhast pipe broke off right where the muffler and pipe connect.the clamp is left on the muffler side. does anyone think this can be welded.? i have had two maximas that have done close to the same thing, and nissan always tells me that it has to be replaced...$400 bucks later for a muffler.....the sentras muffler looks good, the pipe is just sitting there on the axle clanking away. between the buzzy engine noise(no exhuast) and the clanging if feel like im driving a go cart.....

guys, i cant believe no one could help me with this problem. not one reply at all. ???????????????????????????????????????????????
i'd just take it to a local exhaust shop. if all you're needing is a new exhaust mount or just a short weld to fix it which is what it sounds like, they shouldnt charge you much at all. if they've been around for a while they'll know of the best mount to use.
as for the junkyard thing, i dont live near you so i really cant help with that but if i were you, i'd look at maybe a junkyard locator on the net like junkyarddog.com or something. there's numerous sites like that.
i used to know of a site where you would tell it the exact part you needed for the car you have and it would send that to all the junkyards in its database and they would email you with a price if they had it but i cant for the life of me remember what site it was. if i remember it ill let you know
i remembered! Used Auto Parts | Car Parts. just go there and fill in the information about your car and then select the part you need and they'll send your request to thousands of junkyards. i've had pretty good luck with them. the engine oil dipstick isnt on their list of parts so just click on other part(s) not listed and in the next step you can type in engine oil dipstick.
i dont know if the dealers carry them in stock or not. if not, im sure they can order you one. correct me if im wrong but, a dealer should be able to order any factory part. i do know they are on the expensive side when it comes to prices
