2004 nissan sentra for a first car

Im turning 16 in about 2 weeks so im looking for a first car, and was thinking for a 2004 sentra. Would this be a good first car? Im looking for something that is reliable, not to expensive to insure, wouldn't mind if it was semi fast. How long does this engine last before it starts to have major problems? What kind of problems do they have? ect..

The specific one im looking at is this, it is the 1.8l engine

Sentras tend to be pretty reilable, at least the 3 I've had were/are. A lot will depend on how the previous owner treated and maintained it. How does the interior look? Any damage, tears or burns etc?

If you're serious about this car, insist that the dealer provide a CarFax report and also take it to a shop (not related to the dealer) and pay a little money to have it checked out, especially the clutch.

Remember that every manufacturer produces a lemon once in a while, so no matter what you do there's always a chance you'll get burned. However, it looks like a pretty nice little car. Luck.....
