Is it ok to put dielectric grease in the MAF connector?

Are you having a specific issue that would warrant doing so?

In any case, this should help you decide:
Silicon Dielectric Grease - Smoother running, more responsive & less smokey TDI!! - SEAT Cupra.net

Not sure. My check Engine light came on the other day, giving a P1126 code. The guy at Advance Auto parts said my MAF was bad and a new one was gonna be in the $300 range. I know the dealership will be more than that, but the lesser of 2 evils is not an option either. I took the MAF off tonight, but couldn't get it out of the housing because my freakin torx bit didn't have the circular indention(go figure). I sprayed it down with some brake cleaner, let it dry and put it back in the car. I also tried to disconnect the battery cables, but only the + came off so I pulled the battery fuse(hoping that would accomplish the same goal). Well the check engine light is still on and I will have to see about the mileage i'm getting. I still have m full RPM range

Well I just did what I should have done in the first place. I looked the P1126 code up for Nissan, and even though this paper says its Fuel Air Metering, other sources say Thermostat Function. Needless work sucks.
