Can Rust Check affect an O2 sensor?

I recently had an O2 sensor replaced in my 2001 Sentra GXE, and, two days later, I had Rust Check applied. I am now getting a service engine soon light in the dashboard - can the oily material in Rust Check play havoc with an O2 sensor? The last time I had one replaced, my CC soon died on me - I'd hate to think I'll be in for a third catalytic converter.

Should I drive it for awhile and see if the light goes off? If Rust Check is on the sensor, can it damage it? Thoughts?

imo, it shouldnt have bothered it since what does anything is safe inside the exhaust tubing.
however, maybe you should check the wiring where the harness connects to the o2 sensor. that could be the source of the problem.

I made an appointment to have the SES checked, I started the car and no light! I decided to ask my mechanic about the Rust Check, he said the substance might have lingering vapor that could affect the O2 sensor - he told me to keep driving and, if the light doesn't come back on, the problem fixed itself.

Anyway, I am crossing my fingers on this one - can extreme cold affect O2 sensors? It has been averaging -15 degrees Celsius over the last week or so, now it's a balmy 10 degrees......
