Fuel Vent Solenoid 2004 Sentra

I have recently taken my Sentra in for service due to the 'Service Engine Soon' light. The guys at the shop say I need a new Fuel Vent Solenoid. I can tell the vent system doesn't work because the gas pump always stops after a few seconds. The repair costs are high so I am going to fix it myself. I am new to this car, so I need a little advice if anyone has some. I assume I can get to this part through a door under the rear seat. When I do, I am wondering if this solenoid is on an assembly with the canister? I also need to know how to reset the idiot light. I am new to this car, so any advice would be very helpful! Thanks!

Its the black box behind the driver side rear wheel. Its an easy fix. But before you go and buy new parts, the hoses are notorious for cracking and/or breaking. SO, jack up the rear, look around that black box and check all the hoses. There is also a little elbow like valve stuck in the front of the box. Thats the evap. valve. Take it out, shake it around, put it back in. Check all the hoses and clear the codes.

To clear the codes--> My SpecV / ECU code listing and how to (SES light)
