Brake and Startup smell questions

Hi all- We've had a little bit of a cold spell here in TX recently and I've noticed two things that my 03 Spec V hasn't done before. Upon cold startup I'm getting a heavy gas/exhaust smell inside the car that lasts a few blocks. She didn't do this last year in MD (colder winters). Also the Brake light has come on, seemingly only in cold weather too as it'll go out after it's warmed up outside. I'm assuming the fluid is low or the pads need to be checked on that one (more than likely fluid), but the level was still a tiny bit above the min mark.

check your injector seals and fpr seals one may be leaking
